The spin doctors are at it again.
The article, “Gun industry thrives during Obama’s term,” is an example of spin.
The article’s tone is America has nothing to fear of Obama’s pre-election statements to limit access to firearms of citizens, whether by congressional law or through presidential powers. They use as a basis of their conclusion, the true facts that the firearms industry had a banner four years in sales during the president’s term.
The truth they misrepresent is alluded in the first paragraph. Americans did, and still fear this administration wanting to restrict access to legal firearms. Firearm sales escalated as soon as election results were announced. This was not the result of a benevolent government helping the firearms industry, but fear buying before the Second Amendment could be circumvented and political maneuverings would prevent legal purchases.
When we look at what this administration has done, it becomes apparent what they actually want to do.
Anti-Second Amendment interests are given access to the White House, government agents circumventing laws to provide guns to Mexican drug cartels in Operation Fast and Furious, and Hillary Clinton’s maneuver in trying to revive the United Nations amendment to place U.S. law under United Nations control. Actions on behalf of this administration say that in truth, America is correct in its fears of what is likely to be fostered on its people.
Do not blindly believe what you read. Question what is on any media forum to confirm it is truth. We all need to be aware of spin. Truth can indeed be twisted to mislead and misrepresent.
