CENTER STAR — Two people were injured in an early morning accident today, troopers said.

Kaitlynn Hall, 21, Ardmore, and Carson Gafford, 19, Athens, were injured in the one-car accident on U.S. 72, near Lauderdale 33 in the Center Star area, state troopers said.

Hall was flown to Huntsville Hospital where she was listed in fair condition, according to hospital spokesman Nicole Murray.

Gafford was taken to Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital where she was treated and discharged about 5:30 this morning, troopers said.

Reports indicate Hall was driving a 2003 Ford Mustang that ran off U.S. 72 and into a ditch.

The accident remains under investigation by Quad-Cities State Troopers Post.
