UNA choirs to present fall concert

FLORENCE — The University of North Alabama’s Department of Music and Theatre will present its annual Fall Choral Showcase at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 23 at Grace Episcopal Church on Darby Avenue in Sheffield.

The concert will feature performances by the three elite student choruses at UNA, the UNA Collegiate Singers, Chamber Choir and Vocal Jazz Ensemble.

The concert will feature works by American composer Argento, Bach, and Venezuelan and Finnish composers, as well as “In My Life” by The Beatles, among others. In addition, the choruses will perform two pieces composed by members of their own group, Drew Mills’ “Doxology” and Loeppky’s “Adam lay ybounden.”

There is no charge for admission.
