FLORENCE — University of North Alabama junior Ethan Lolley was chosen earlier this month as president of the Alabama chapter of the National Association for Music Education Collegiate branch.

NAfME Collegiate is a professional organization for future music educators. Eight universities with NAfME Collegiate chapters were present for the conference.

Lolley was selected during the Alabama Music Educators Association conference in Montgomery.

Also during the conference, the UNA choruses became one of two university chorus groups from Alabama selected to perform. The UNA choruses gave an 11-song, 45-minute performance to an audience of more than 500, according to a university press release.
