By Bernie Delinski
TheTimes Daily

Northwest Alabama is under a wind advisory through noon today, with gusts around 35 to 40 mph possible.

The National Weather Service office in Huntsville issued the advisory, as sustained winds of 25 to 35 mph are blowing into the area. Gusts could reach 40 mph, particularly in elevated areas.

Weather service officials recommend drivers use caution, especially if you are in a sports utility vehicle or van.

Residents should ensure that outdoor objects remain secure, including patio furniture and trash cans.
