Emily Winkler, a freshman from Dora, was crowned Miss UNA on Saturday out of a field of 17 contestants.
Winkler is majoring in elementary education and her talent was a classical piano performance.
The winner receives a customized ring from Creative Jewelers in Florence.
Winkler was crowned by the reigning Miss UNA, Anne-Marie Hall.
The 2013 Miss UNA first runner-up was Terri Wright, a sophomore from Florence majoring in secondary education and English language arts.
The second runner-up was Allison Shelton and the third runner-up was Chelsea Yarber.
Rachel Wammack won the talent competition and was named Miss Congeniality.
Ann Marie Russ was the People’s Choice winner and Avy Stansbury won the lifestyle and fitness competition.
