Women’s health symposium set for Saturday

FLORENCE — Eliza Coffee Memorial and Shoals hospitals are presenting a joint women’s health symposium from 7:30 a.m. until noon Saturday at the Marriott Shoals Conference Center.

Dr. Denis Raleigh, Dr. Constantine Athanasuleas and Dr. Meredith Pickett will give interactive lectures about women’s health.

Athanasuleas and Raleigh are open heart surgeons practicing at ECM, and Pickett is a family practitioner who will begin her practice at Shoals Hospital in the summer.

Blood pressure, cholesterol and glucose screens will be available. Representatives from sleep medicine, palliative care and rehabilitation service will provide information about those areas of practice.
