“This is a comment directed to the caller who said Wal-Mart workers should consider themselves lucky that they had to work on Thanksgiving Day. And, then, the caller goes on to say that to compare them to police, firefighters, hospitals, nursing homes and other emergency workers. Give me a break. Just what kind of emergency service does Wal-Mart perform?”
“There’s a stop sign on Midland and Firestone that nobody ever stops at. It’s been reported for about five years now. Nothing’s ever done. If nothing is going to be done with it there, they need to let us know, take the stop signs down, throw them away. Or, either patrol Firestone and stop some of this running traffic. We’ve got kids that live on this street. I’m sick of it.”
“I read in Saturday’s paper where Guy Bailey has resigned and they’re going to still pay him — he only worked two months — they’re still going to pay him $535,000 a year. That is not right. Let him get out and get him another job that his wife can go with him.”
“My God, and I mean that literally, what is wrong with the American people to where getting a good buy, a bargain, a dollar off at Wal-Mart is on the backs of people in foreign countries, getting burned up, like the last episode, being paid pennies a day, no health care, no pension, no right to organize. What is this country coming to for the dollar?”
