“Well, I’m glad to see you finally printed a posting of somebody calling about the gas prices in Florence and across the river — how it’s always 10 to 15 to 20 cents cheaper over there. We just got back from Corinth, Miss., and over there it’s only $2.79. Of course I realize that’s in a different state, but that’s 30-40 cents difference.”
“I just read in the paper that two ... have been arrested for burglaries. They knock on people’s doors and if no one answers, they go around to the back and break in. Well, I don’t answer my door to anyone that I’m not expecting. But when somebody comes around to my back and starts breaking in, they’ll find out there was somebody home, with a big gun.”
“In response to the person talking about the union, so you think the working people should take a pay cut? Why don’t the owners take a pay cut and share their wealth of the million and millions of dollars in profits? Then they could afford to give cost-of-living raises and hire more people. Which would boost the economy? By doing so, this would be a win-win situation.”
“The same people seem to worry about Wal-Mart. I retired from Wal-Mart. I am a happy person. Wish you were, too.”
