“Well, it sounds like there will definitely be more school lunchroom food thrown in the garbage cans. All these kids will have snacks and food in their pocket they bring from home. They will refuse to eat.”
“I hope the school board doesn’t actually punish the local coach who made remarks about the first lady. I mean, it’s pretty ridiculous. There are jokes on all the late night talk shows, everything on TV, every night. They don’t need to take everything so serious. If they did, there wouldn’t be a person left on the street if they punished everyone for what they said. I mean, what happened to the First Amendment?”
“That Lauderdale County coach might as well quit his job because he’s going to be fired for telling the truth.”
“Your editorial page (column) writer, Cynthia Tucker, is the most biased Republican-hater out of anyone opposed to President Obama. To her, bipartisanship is agreeing to her point of view, period.”
“I know that there are heavy children. Usually if there are, there’s heavy parents — not always. But it’s not right for the government to tell us how to raise our children. They’re going to eat McDonalds and all this other fast-food stuff because most of the time mothers work and don’t really have the time to cook that much. But, I’m against putting the sugar-free Cokes in there for the children because they tell you all the time that Diet Cokes are not good for you.”
“Reckon the mayor of Muscle Shoals knows that his police officers are using their vehicles for their own personal use? The taxpayers is paying for the gas. It’s really a crying shame.”
“The superintendent of education of Lauderdale County schools should stop the schools from enticing kids to sell cookie dough so they can go to a party at school, or maybe hire more assistant principals or whatever.”
“Why is our local representative wasting time and energy presenting a bill that the president has already conceded to concerning insurance on birth control? It’s like passing a bill giving Alabamians the right to own guns. Do something productive.”
