Two Shoals Zaxby's chicken locations are listed as sites inpacted by a recent data security breach that may have compromised credit and debit card information.
The Athens, Ga.-based company announced that suspicious files were found on their systems that may have resulted in “unauthorized access to credit and debit card information.”
The Florence Zaxby's, on Cox Creek Parkway, and the Muscle Shoals location, on Avalon Avenue, are both named as locations affected.
According to a company press release it has not yet been determined if payment information was taken during the security breach. Customers should monitor their account activity and report any suspicious activity.
Appropriate law enforcement agencies have been notified and additional security measures are being implemented at Zaxby's locations, according to the release.
The locations affected are in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. A full listing of locations can be viewed at https://dataprivacyinformation.com/index_2.html
Company officials say the issue involves malware files, which could have been used to export guest names and credit and debit card numbers.
